Old Trafford side interested in Saint-Etienne forward.
According to Italian source TuttoMercato Man United have joined fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United and Man City in the hunt for in-form Saint-Etienne forward Patrice-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Old Trafford side reportedly sent scouts to assess the 23 year old in action as Saint-Etienne and Bordeaux played out a dull goalless draw last night.
The French born Gabon international has been a consistent goal-scorer over the past 18 months and has attracted a great deal of interest with his stylish displays leading the Les Verts attack.
Last term Aubameyang netted 16 Ligue 1 goals and has already scored eight this term to help his side into the top four.
One would wonder why Sir Alex Ferguson would need to target yet more firepower given the amount of goals his Man United side have put away this season. With the likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez scoring reguarly, the trio have amassed 30 goals between them this season, is another forward really needed, especially with Danny Welback also on hand.
