St James’ Park look to seal deal to sign Toulouse midfielder.
Newcastle are hopeful of agreeing a deal with Toulouse’s France midfielder Moussa Sissoko next month.
The 23-year-old friend of Yohan Cabaye is out of contract in the summer and is thought to have held talks with the North East club.

Moussa Sissoko has been threatening to leave Toulouse for some time and it appears that the 23 year old is edging nearer to leaving the Ligue 1 side he has arguably outgrown for a possible move to St James’ Park.
The rangy French international has been compared to Patrick Vieira and will perhaps be interested in following the tough tackling legend to the Premier League and clearly a move to join the Magpies could be aided by the friendship Sissoko has with stylish midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
Any move to bring in the powerful midfielder could lead to talk of a possible exit for enforcer Cheick Tiote but Alan Pardew will hope to keep hold of all his star-turns after a shaky first half of the current Premier League campaign.
Toulouse could be keen to cash-in on Sissoko to avoid the prospect of losing such a talented player on a free transfer in six months time.
