Stamford Bridge boss in agreement with Blues supporters on one thing at least.
Rafael Benitez says he would be pleased if Chelsea win trophies this season, then Pep Guardiola takes over from him in the summer.
Benitez took over from Roberto Di Matteo until the end of the season.
The ex-Liverpool boss wants the job long-term, but the Blues are known to admire former Barcelona boss Guardiola.
“Guardiola has a fantastic record,” Benitez told BBC Sport’s Richard Conway. “If he comes and we’ve won a lot of trophies, I’ll be very pleased.”

At least Rafa Benitez is in agreement with Chelsea fans about one thing.
Clearly the Blues faithful would love to see Pep Guardiola take the Stamford Bridge hot-seat and Benitez is probably all too aware that the chances of him getting the Chelsea job on a full-time basis are slim to none.
Unless the former Liverpool boss leads the West London side to the Premier League title he will be on his way in the summer.
It is interesting that Benitez has directly discussed the possibility of Guardiola taking the Chelsea job and no doubt the former Barcelona manager has been approached about a possible summer move to take over.
