Jack Wilshere will provide a huge boost to ailing Arsenal — and under-pressure manager Arsene Wenger — by signing a £20million, five-year contract in the next month.

This is news that will certainly please both Arsene Wenger and Arsenal’s suffering supporters. Given the number of top talents who have chosen to leave the club in recent seasons it is good to see a player show commitment to the cause.

Jack Wilshere does indeed seem like an individual who has Arsenal Football Club running through his veins, a player who always gives 100%, a determined and very able player with a very bright future, and a player who is certainly likely to be the object of much interest from prospective suitors in the coming years.

The 20 year old is already into his fifth season in the Arsenal first team and is feeling his way back into the fold after a lengthy period out and is a player Wenger will look to build a side around, such is the admiration the French boss has for the young charge.

This deal works out at around £75k a week and makes Wilshere one of the club’s biggest earners and helps secure the England man to the club for a long time to come.
