Liverpool Look to Fix Striker Shortage With Realistic Move for Goal Machine

Anfield side linked with move for Turkish striker.

Italian source TuttoMercato claim that Liverpool have joined the race to sign Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz, a player who could realistically be seen as a signing who could well be an ideal option to beef up the Anfield attack.

If for any reason the Galatasaray forward were to push for an exit from his Istanbul side, or indeed his side seek to cash in on the prolific marksman, then Liverpool would do well to register their interest, but why would Yilmaz be looking to leave a club he only joined in the summer.

Yilmaz has netted 14 goals in 18 appearances to help his side to top the Turkish top tier and his form in the Champions League, six goals in five matches, has seen Galatasary book a spot in the last 16 of the competition.

Liverpool have struggled for goals this season, 23 goals in 17 Premier League matches, and without Luis Suarez the Merseyside club would probably be battling relegation, such is their over dependence on the Uruguayan.

Italian Fabio Borini was brought in to beef up numbers over the summer but even prior to his foot injury the former Roma man had failed to make an impact and Rodgers is very likely to make a move for a striker next month.
