Marouane Fellaini: Everton to Chelsea
Talented midfielder re-opened a can of worms when he publicly stated in an interview with a Belgian reporter when he stated his intention to leave Goodison Park sooner rather than later.
He looked to back down from these statements and David Moyes must have made it clear such actions would not be tolerated and things were getting back to normality. A good run of form, eight goals in 15 matches, has helped the Toffees to a solid start to the season but events on the weekend have put talk of a move away from Merseyside firmly back on the table.
Fellaini essentially assaulted Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross and Moyes publicly admonished the 25 year old and a hefty ban could be on the cards. This could well lead to a protracted move to Chelsea finally coming to fruition.
Roman Abramovich only has to open his wallet and make a big offer and you can expect Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to take the money and run.
