Emirates Stadium youngsters to put pen to paper on new contracts.
Arsene Wenger has tied-up deals to keep Arsenal’s British talent – and has held peace talks with Theo Walcott.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs have all agreed new contracts while Jack Wilshere has also admitted he will sign a new bumper five-year deal.
But Mirror Sport can reveal England star Walcott held talks with Wenger last week to try to resolve his future and the Gunners boss responded by playing him up front in Arsenal’s next match at Reading on Monday night.
That now looks to have been Wenger’s way of offering Walcott an olive branch in a bid to persuade the Arsenal winger to re-open contract talks and commit himself to a new deal.
Walcott, 23, was left frustrated and upset after being frozen out for weeks following the breakdown of talks over a new £75,000-a-week deal.

This is good news for an Arsenal fan-base that can certainly do with cheering up given a rather shaky first half of the season.
Jack Wilshere has returned following a lengthy spell on the sidelines and has begun to feel his way back towards his best and is an a young man who lives and breathes Arsenal Football Club. The midfielder has made it clear he has no intentions of leaving and is a player Wenger would like to build a side around for the next decade.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has perhaps made less of an impact this term than he did last season and has been used in a more central role which perhaps doesn’t showcase his talent as much as the marauding runs down the wing the Arsenal fans were treated to in 2011/12.
Kieran Gibbs has struggled with injuries but when fully fit is far superior to woeful Brazilian Andre Santos and though Aaron Ramsey has at times be exasperating in Arsenal’s midfield it is clear that the Welshman has the talent to be a hugely influential member of the Arsenal squad but needs to learn that more often than not, less is more.
Aaron Ramsey can be something of a nightmare at times with the Welsh midfielder losing possession far to easily at times, however the former Cardiff City man clearly has the talent and has the time to grow into a more consistent performer and appears likely to do so at the Emirates Stadium.
