Loftus Road side target Old Trafford veteran.
Check in to Swansea City vs Manchester United
QPR boss Harry Redknapp wants Manchester United Rio Ferdinand veteran to inspire the club to Premier League safety and is lining-up a January bid for the centre-half.

QPR could well do with a defensive injection as Harry Redknapp looks to steer the West London side from the drop zone and clearly the former West Ham boss knows Rio Ferdinand well and perhaps the opportunity to team up with his younger brother Anton at Loftus Road could entice the England international into considering a move back to the capital.
The 34 year old Man United defender has started 14 of the club’s 17 Premier League fixtures but has done so primarily due to injuries suffered by team-mates Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic and perhaps more importantly Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have struggled at the back, conceding goals at an alarming rate and as such Rio Ferdinand has not impressed and could well be a player living on borrowed time at the Premier League table toppers.
With Vidic returning from injury this weekend, and Jones and Smalling making comebacks in recent weeks perhaps Ferguson would be open to allowing Ferdinand a chance of a new challenge if he so chooses.
Redknapp’s previous connection with Ferdinand at West Ham could help in any potential move to lure the defender to QPR and if any move included a decent length contract and a pay packet in keeping with his current earnings then a deal to move to the relegation threatened Super Hoops may be a distinct possibility.
