Old Trafford old boy to make astounding return?
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has told friends and former Manchester United team-mates that he would love to move back to his former side.
A day after Sir Alex Ferguson said he would love to have the attacker back at Old Trafford the 27-year-old has admitted he wants to ‘come home’, according to The Sun on Sunday.
His return to Manchester next year is guaranteed – Madrid have drawn United in the last 16 of the Champions League – but a more permanent switch would prove tricky.

Apparently the 27 year old Real Madrid man is exasperated with Real Madrid having waited 11 months for a new contract and is now ready to push for a move away from the Spanish giants.
This source states that the Bernabeu side may be willing to listen to offers starting at £122m for their prized asset though that could be a price Man United are unwilling, or perhaps even unable, to fork out, despite the quality of player in question.
Ronaldo is apparently unhappy that Real Madrid have not offered him a new deal and this has been exacerbated by the fact that Barcelona star Lionel Messi has recently been handed a six year contract extension worth a whopping £100m.
Clearly it doesn’t help that Real Madrid have all but surrendered their La Liga title having fallen a massive 16 points behind Barcelona, dropping into third spot behind city rivals Atletico Madrid in the table to boot.
Cristiano Ronaldo may well not be performing to the same level as last season but has still amassed an astonishing 23 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions.
No doubt Sir Alex Ferguson would welcome back the Portuguese international skipper with open arms but the fee needed to lure the former Man United star back to Old Trafford would need to be astronomical and could be a fee that the Glazers are unwilling to fund.
