Etihad Stadium hope to continue habit of luring Emirates Stadium stars with obscene wage offers.
CHAMPS Man City are set to raid Arsenal again and threaten Arsene Wenger’s desperate bid to keep Theo Walcott. Gunners boss Wenger is trying to persuade Walcott to sign a new contract with the England star’s current deal up at the end of the season.
But City’s new sporting dIrector Txiki Begiristain is urging his club to make the striker, 23, a priority target.
Begiristain is said to have been an admirer of Walcott since he played for Arsenal against his previous club, Barcelona.
And City could now make a cut-price offer for Walcott in next month’s transfer window – or try to sign him as a free agent in the summer.

Having previously snapped up Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy and Kolo Toure from the Emirates Stadium in recent seasons Man City are ready to repeat the trick once again.
The Premier League title holders have set their sights on Gunners attacker Theo Walcott, who is still to agree a new Arsenal deal having spent the best part of six months in protracted talks to remain at the North London club.
Apparently the big spending Etihad Stadium side are more than willing to meet the 23 year old’s wage demands, said to be in the region of £100k a week and could perhaps offer a great deal more if they could sign the England man on a free transfer in the summer.
Walcott has been in excellent form this season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions, and has been handed the orthodox striking spot he has been after for some months.
However this hasn’t brought the Arsenal man any nearer to agreeing a new deal and with just over six months to run on his current deal there is every chance prospective suitors will be beating a path to Walcott’s door in the coming weeks.
