Stamford Bridge side target Derby County midfielder.
Derby face a struggle to keep hold of Will Hughes after a series of fine performances caught the attention of Premier League Tottenham, Chelsea and Fulham.
The teenage midfielder is set to attract bids as soon as the January transfer window opens and with a fee of £10m thought to be enough to persuade Derby’s American owners to sell – £6m plus add-ons would also be considered – the greatest question could surround whether he is to remain in the Championship until the season’s end.

Chelsea have begun to assemble a vast array of young talents that should serve the West London club in good stead for the next few years and it’s no surprise to hear that the Stamford Bridge is side is one of many sniffing around talented young Derby County midfielder Will Hughes.
The 17 year old has made 22 Championship starts for Nigel Clough’s Rams side this season and has impressed many watching scouts with his mature displays and no doubt Derby County would like to keep hold of such a promising talent but will also be aware that a big money offer could well help balance the books.
Such has been the ease with which Hughes has taken to life as a senior player that he has already received an England Under 21 cap, becoming the second youngest player to do so.
Derby County are looking to mount a concerted push for a spot in the play-offs so will look to fend off interest next month but come the summer the East Midlands side may find it harder to resist offers for Hughes.
