Bernabeu side set sights on Old Trafford custodian.
Inside Futbol are today reporting that Spanish giants Real Madrid are eyeing up Man United keeper David de Gea.
The young Spanish international took time to adapt to life in the English top tier but has arguably improved a great deal over the past few months but perhaps interest from his hometown club could entice the 22 year old into considering a move to the Bernabeu.
Talk of Real Madrid’s interest comes after Iker Casillas was sensationally dropped from Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up for last weekend’s trip to Malaga. A decision that appears to have angered many, and didn’t prevent a 3-2 defeat, and could well be the basis of talk of a possible successor to the experienced Spanish international captain.
De Gea is tied down to an Old Trafford contract until 2016 but if a decent enough offer was made then perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson would consider offloading the youngster.
Ferguson has shared first team action between De Gea and Anders Lindegaard this term with the former Atletico Madrid man making 10 Premier League starts to the Dane’s eight.
