Stamford Bridge side ready to spend big.
CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich is ready to unleash a £150million strike force on the Premier League in the new year.
The Russian billionaire is preparing a £50m bid for Atletico Madrid superstar Radamel Falcao, to link up with his other £50m striker Fernando Torres.
Next up will be a £35m move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian hitman Willian, while Belgian starlet Romelu Lukaku, for whom Chelsea paid Anderlecht £18m last year, could also be recalled from his loan spell at West Brom, making a total of £153m-worth of striking talent available to manager Rafa Benitez.

Clearly Chelsea’s 8-0 demolition of Aston Villa is not generally indicative of the attacking force the Blues has to offer but that said it does seem as though Rafa Benitez has a fair few players to call upon and has seen Fernando Torres hit a rich vein of form. None of this seems to be getting in the way of Roman Abramovich’s plan to spend big to further improve his Stamford Bridge squad.
The Russian billionaire is ready to make a huge offer to land Radamel Falcao, a player who has been inextricably linked with a move to the West London club since he netted a hat-trick against Chelsea in the Super Cup Final early this season.
20 goals in 16 games have made the Colombian one of the most sought after talents in Europe and if Atletico Madrid are going to consider offers for the former FC Porto man then Chelsea appear ready to bid big for the 26 year old.
A move for Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Willian may however be more likely to bear fruit. The Brazilian international put in two good displays when coming up against Chelsea in the Champions League, scoring twice at Stamford Bridge, and the only real barrier to a possible move to the Premier League side may be the fact that the flair player’s side are still in the showpiece tournament and the 24 year old may therefore be keen to remain at the Ukraine side until the summer.
Willian may feel he has achieved as much as he can at Shakhtar, having won four domestic titles, a trio of domestic cups and a Europa League triumph during his five and a half years at the Donbass Arena.
