Emirates Stadium side reportedly agrees personal terms with talented wide-man.
Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan has been linked with a January move to Arsenal with some outlets reporting he has agreed personal terms.
The Turkish midfielder has made his desire to leave Atletico known after his agent Ahmet Bulut claimed the 25-year-old wanted a new challenge.
“Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same,” he recently told Turkish television.
“We are working on making this happen, Atletico know what our intention is and are working with us. If all goes well, Arda will leave the Madrid club at the end of this season.”

Any move by Arsenal to sign Atletico Madrid playmaker Arda Turan would entail the North London side forking out the €24m (£19m) needed to trigger the Turkish international’s release clause.
Turan plays primarily as a winger but can also work effectively across the midfield and that adaptability may well be what greatly interests Arsene Wenger. Such a move could well signal the end of Theo Walcott’s Arsenal career as Arda Turan could well fill any gap left by the England international, who is still to put pen to paper on a new contract.
Turan has been a massive success since his move to La Liga, having spent six successful seasons with Galatasaray. The 25 year old helped Atletico Madrid to a Europa Cup success in his first term in charge and has further impressed during the current campaign, helping Diego Simeone’s side to mount a genuine title challenge whilst successfully splitting Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The pint sized performer is comfortable on the ball and has a good turn of pace and has all the attributes one would expect of Arsene Wenger and though £19m would represent a club record fee the Arsenal boss may feel that January is the right time to splash the cash to help secure at the very least a top four finish.
Arda Turan will also be available for Champions League action.
