Furious Mario Balotelli has called in lawyers to sue his former girlfriend after she accused him of being ‘irresponsible’ and ‘not interested’ in his newborn baby daughter.

The Manchester City ace’s relationship with Raffaella Fico, 24, has become a real life soap opera with the two having furious slanging matches since they split up in the spring following a year long relationship.

Firstly, how does one measure ‘disinterest’? Secondly, claiming Mario Balotelli is ‘irresponsible’ will surely not be a portion of the case the Italian will pursue. It is fairly clear from his hap-hazard madcap behaviour that the Italian is indeed a very irresponsible person who pays little regard to the cause and effect of his behaviour, both on and off the football field.

Fico was the last in a long line of attractive girlfriends Balotelli has accumulated over the years and the pair separated just months after their daughter, Pia, was born.

Balotelli has initially demanded a DNA test to prove the baby was his but opted against doing so in the hope he could get their romance back on track. Perhaps I am wrong but I am not sure that claiming your other half has been sleeping with other men works as a good tactic when it comes to trying to re-ignite the embers of a dying relationship.

One thing is for sure, some lawyers are rubbing their hands with glee.
