Options that could help improve Stamford Bridge attack.
Chelsea have been linked with a myriad of striking targets as the Blues look to beef up an attack that has relied too heavily on Spaniard Fernando Torres.
The West London side have an abundance of creativity in their midfield with the likes of Juan Mata, Oscar, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses creating chances aplenty. Now the Stamford Bridge side need a proven finisher to either support Torres or act as a more effective replacement for the former Liverpool man.
Here are five options owner Roman Abramovich should be ready to open his chequebook to buy.
Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
The Expensive Option
The expensive option and apparently, as reported earlier today, not one that would be likely to join next month. The outrageously gifted forward can’t stop scoring and could well be the ideal man to spearhead the Chelsea attack and though clearly he would cost a huge sum that’s apparently a sum that Russia billionaire Roman Abramovich is more than willing to fork out for.
Would cost Chelsea upwards of £50m but with 20 goals in 16 matches, including three against Chelsea in the Super Cup Final, that is a price that is well worth paying for the 26 year old Colombian international.
Already shown that he can score goals in a top league, having also netted freely with FC Porto, and the form he has hit in Spain could well be translated into Premier League success.
