Bernabeu side continue pursuit of White Hart Lane wide-man.
Real Madrid have stepped up their pursuit of Gareth Bale by putting together a £33million bid to try and prise him away from White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have been aware of Real’s interest for months but will be concerned that the Spanish newspaper closest to them are now reporting that an offer has been made.
Marca claim it is for 40million euros and that manager Jose Mourinho will not rest until his top transfer target has been secured.

Real Madrid have been linked with interest in Tottenham wide-man Gareth Bale for the best part of a year and now that Jose Mourinho has reportedly made the Welsh international is number one target one wonders if the White Hart Lane side will be able to fend off interest from the Spanish giants.
Clearly the North London side’s chances of retaining the 23 year old beyond the summer will be greatly buoyed by a top four finish and the resultant Champions League spot it is entirely possible that if such a goal is achieved that the former Southampton man may still feel his career progression would be better served by a move to a side that can help him win major honours.
Andre Villas-Boas will be loathed to lose Bale, who is in sparkling form at present, but will know that the allure of a move to the Bernabeu will be hard to ignore for much longer.
Bale netted a hat-trick against Aston Villa on Boxing Day and has been a constant menace to opposition defences over the past three seasons.
