Old Trafford side target Parkhead custodian.
The Manchester United boss is also keeping tabs on goalkeeper Fraser Forster, hero of Celtic’s thrilling Champions League campaign this term.
Celtic goalkeper Forster is being monitored with Fergie concerned that neither David De Gea nor Anders Lindegaard have been able to cement their place in the United side for more than a few games at a time.

Sir Alex Ferguson may indeed feel that neither of his first team regulars, who pretty much share starting duties, have proven themselves and as such could be open to the possibility of bringing in a safer pair of hands.
Fraser Forster’s performances against Barcleona this season have garnered glowing praise from many and his overall form for the Parkhead side has been incredibly consistent.
The giant 6ft 7in keeper rose through the ranks at Newcastle United but was left to join Celtic for £2.5million last summer after spending the two previous seasons on loan at the Glasgow club.
Forster’s form has led to a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad and could yet lead to a move back to the Premier League, though one would imagine the 24 year old would want to stick with Celtic for the current campaign given that the Glasgow side are still in the Champions League.
