Old Trafford boss may have to re-think his stance on a January transfer window signing.
Wesley Sneijder’s row with Inter Milan is at breaking point.
The Dutch playmaker is desperate to join a Premier League club when the January window opens.
Sneijder, 28, said: “It’s urgent and obvious for both sides, the club and me, that I make a quick transfer this winter. It will be the best for everyone. I want a move now!”
Sneijder has warned Inter bosses they will have to pay his full wage packet of £13m a year until 2015 if they don’t co-operate.
The Holland captain, who was wanted by Manchester United last year, claims the club should let him go for a cut price because Inter can’t afford his wages anymore.
Sneijder has refused to sign a new contract at Inter.

If Wesley Sneijder has indeed been this forthright in his commitment to leave the San Siro then it would appear likely that the Dutch international will get his wish.
Inter Milan are paying the playmaker a huge sum but haven’t played him for some weeks now. Initially his lack of involvement in Andrea Stramaccioni’s plans was put down to injury issues, which the player denied. Then the Italian giants stated that the 28 year old wouldn’t be involved in first team action until he agreed a new deal, but that too has been an approach that has failed.
Though Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson stated that he wouldn’t buy any players in January he may have to re-think this approach if one of his top long term targets becomes available.
The Old Trafford manager has long been linked with interest in the former Ajax and Real Madrid man and may feel that a move to add creativity and a goal threat to his midfield negates the need for swift action in next month’s transfer window.
Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Anderson, Darren Fletcher and Tom Cleverley are not known for their goal-scoring exploits and are not all that likely to offer a bagful of assists either. Summer signing Shinji Kagawa has struggled for form after a solid start to his career.
This could lead the way to an exploratory offer for the talented Inter Milan man. Sneijder had an excellent first season with the Nerazzurri, helping Jose Mourinho’s side to a stunning treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League triumphs, however things have tailed off since and the flair player now appears to be surplus to requirements at the club.
