Old Trafford side ready moves to snap up Stamford Bridge duo.
SIR ALEX Ferguson will offer Frank Lampard AND Ashley Cole the chance to join Manchester United when they are dumped by Chelsea.
United boss Ferguson wants both players at Old Trafford next season – and is putting together packages to complete an amazing double deal for the Stamford Bridge rejects.
Both Lampard and Cole are out of contract at the end of June and Fergie believes the pair can make a huge impact on and off the pitch at United.

Could Chelsea’s decision to continue their policy of only offering one year extensions to players over the age of 30 be to Man United’s advantage?
Sir Alex Ferguson clearly has less of an issue when it comes to using senior players as evidenced by the continued presence of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand in first team affairs.
Indeed neither Frank Lampard or Ashley Cole have entered into contract talks of any sort and both England veterans are out of contract next summer and could perhaps consider an offer from Man United for their services.
Though such a move could be considered a contentious one clearly neither of this particular pair have issues with making such decisions given their Lampard and Cole’s respective moves from West Ham and Arsenal to Chelsea.
Arguably there could be room for both players to make an impact at Old Trafford.
34 year old Lampard could offer Ferguson another option in the centre of the park, and a goal-scoring midfield threat could well be what’s needed at Man United. 32 year old left-back Cole could battle Patrice Evra for the first team slot.
Chelsea seem keen to usher in a new era and having allowed Didier Drogba to run down his contract and leave on a free transfer last summer it seems entirely possible that owner Roman Abramovich will do likewise with this pair of Blues legends.
