Inter bid to drive out Sniejder is denied by Premier League giants.
Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has been turned down by both Arsenal and Chelsea. According to the Daily Mail, the possibility of Sneijder leaving the club has emerged after the Italian giants planned to reduce their wage bill.
Agents representing Inter Milan have reportedly tried drumming up interest for a potential sale.
Any potential transfer has been scuppered due to the high demands of the Dutch star, which is reportedly exceeding £200,000 a week. Speculation has risen in Italy, with Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claiming Liverpool had made an offer of £9.5 million.
Sneijder ignored suggestions from Inter that he needed to take a £1.6 million pay cut. He has recently been dropped from the first team, adding to the woes of a poor European Championships in the summer.
The 28 year old said: ‘Clearly it’s best for everyone concerned that in January I am transferred. If that doesn’t happen then I will stay. I have a contract with Inter until 2015.”
