Upton Park side bring in misfiring Emirates Stadium forward.
BBC Sport have confirmed that Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh will move to Upton Park for the remainder of the season.
The 28 year old Moroccan international has been a disaster of a signing and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger can be thankful that he picked up the forward from Bordeaux on a free, though he has been stuck with having to cover the striker’s reported £60k a week wages.
The 28 year old is yet to play a single minute of Premier League action this season but has scored twice in the Capital One Cup this term.
Chamakh has managed a paltry 14 goals from 67 appearances since his move to the Emirates Stadium from Bordeaux two and a half years ago.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is keen to beef up his attack following an injury suffered by on loan striker Andy Carroll.
The Hammers have already clinched the signing of Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.
