Spanish forward going nowhere.
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has told Michu’s admirers there is “no way” the forward will be leaving the Liberty Stadium this month.
“There is no way he will leave,” said Laudrup. “It is absolutely out of the question.
“One reason is because it is so difficult to get someone in right now, and the second is that he is happy here and doesn’t want to leave.
“Newcastle have just lost their top scorer mid-season and that is obviously very bad, especially because it is not easy to find a guy who scores goals like him.”

It’s understandable that sides would be taking an interest in Spanish striker Michu, the former Rayo Vallecano man being an instant Premier League hit, but Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is attempting to nip transfer talk in the bud and will hope that his summer signing shows the Liberty Stadium side some loyalty if indeed a firm offer is made from his services from a ‘bigger’ club.
Michu has netted 13 goals in 20 Premier League starts, making a mockery of the £2m they forked out to land the stylish attacker and Laudrup will hope that the goals keep coming as he looks to cement a place in the top half of the table.
It was a tad surprising that other sides didn’t make alternatives offers for Michu given his excellent displays in La Liga last term, where he scored 16 goals for a side flirting with relegation, Laudrup clearly knew just what the Spaniard was capable of and must have rubbed his hands in glee at snapping him up for such a cheap price.
Michu’s form has led to last term’s top scorer Danny Graham playing second fiddle and this in turn has led to interest from Sunderland in the former Watford forward.
