Anfield side re-ignite interest in Borussia Dortmund winger.
German daily Bild claim that Liverpool target Kevin Grosskreutz is edging nearer to a Borussia Dortmund exit following stalled contract talks.
The 24 year old is into his fourth season at the Westfalenstadion and was a pivotal member of the club’s back to back Bundesliga title successes and as such not a player Jurgen Klopp would be keen to lose.
Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on bringing in the talented wide-man to help boost creativity in his Anfield squad but one wonders if Borussia Dortmund might well lose another member of their squad having seen the likes of Shinji Kagawa and Nuri Sahin leave over the past couple of seasons.
Rodgers has seen youngster Suso and Raheem Sterling greatly impress on the flanks after but clearly the two teenage talents will need time to grow into their roles and therefore a move for an experienced and able addition like Grosskreutz would be a wise one to consider.
Local born Grosskreutz has racked up over 130 appearances for the Westfalenstadion side since he moved to the club back in July 2009 and the German international has been a consistent source of attacking invention for Klopp over recent seasons.
