Although 23-year-old Schelotto is Argentinian by birth, he has spent his entire career playing in Italy with Cesena and Atalanta and has been capped once by Italy and seven times at under-21 level having been eligible through his ancestry.
Moyes is looking to strengthen the Everton squad in the January transfer window as they prepare for a battle to hold onto a place in the top four and secure an unlikely Champions League berth. He is also fighting off advances for midfielder Marouane Fellaini at the same time with Chelsea ready to meet the £23million buy-out clause in his contract.
Fulham, meanwhile, are in need of new blood after a poor run of results dragged them cl,oser to the relegation drop zone that Jol would have like, although they remain out of danger at the present.
