Everton manager David Moyes is wanted by Bundesliga side Schalke as their next manager with any appointment likely to be at the end of the season.

Moyes has been in charge at Everton for more than 10 years and has previously been linked with replacing Sir Alex Ferguson as manager of Manchester United when he retired from the Old Trafford post.
But, after Moyes admitted last month that he would be interested in managing in Germany in the future, Schalke have placed him on a five-man shortlist as they prepare to make a new appointment in the summer.
Schalke sacked manager Huub Stevens, who had guided them to much success in recent seasons, in December following a disappointing first half of the Bundesliga campaign. Youth team coach Jens Keller has been placed in charge of the Gelsenkirchen-based outfit until the end of the current season, giving officials time to make a decision on the next permanent manager.
Schalke would give Moyes the chance to manage at Champions League level that he craves, although should Everton maintain their form and earn a top-four Premier League finish his decision would be made harder if the German side do offer him the job.
Steve McClaren is the only previous British coach to take charge of a Bundesliga side, but he lasted only a short time as manager of Wolfsburg before returning to FC Twente in Holland.
