Championship side Blackpool have been holding out for an improved offer for some weeks now and it seems as though the Anfield side are set to relent.
Liverpool had initially stuck to their opening offer of £4.75m but are now willing to bump up that price to £6m in the hope that this will be to the Tangerine’s liking. Any move to sign Ince may well include a deal to loan the England Under 21 international back to the Bloomfield Road side for the remainder of the current campaign.
Tom Ince left Liverpool 18 months ago having failed to force his way into the club’s first team picture but it seems Brendan Rodgers’ willingness to trust to youth this term; giving Raheem Sterling, Suso and Andre Wisdom prolonged spells in his plans, may well have helped to persuade the 20 year old to return to Merseyside.
Ince has scored 13 goals and laid on 10 assists this term, despite the fact that Blackpool are in the bottom half of the Championship table.
