Bernabeu star wanted by big-spending PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain have jumped to the head of the queue to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after transfer chief Leonardo admitting a strong interest in signing the Portuguese star.
Ronaldo is expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after four seasons at the Bernabeu since his £80million switch from Manchester United. He has become disillusioned with Real Madrid’s form this season with the La Liga title already looking beyond them.
Despite interest from Manchester United, who would offer Ronaldo a route back to the Premier League, it is Ligue 1 giants PSG who lead the chase after Leonardo declared an interest in signing him in the summer.

Leonardo said: “Cristiano Ronaldo? Paris St Germain have become a club where anything is possible. However, he still has an ongoing contract with Real Madrid and we have to realise that he will not leave Madrid for just any club.
“When we are discussing a possible transfer for a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, there are only four or five clubs that can be taken into consideration. PSG are one of those.”
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is also on PSG’s wanted list as they prepare to replace Carlo Ancelotti in the hot-seat at the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
