talkSPORT claim that Juventus boss Antonio Conte is ‘in the frame’ to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The 43 year old former Italian international was appointed as boss of the Turin side back in May 2011 and proceeded to lead the Old Lady of Italian football to a Serie A title last term, without losing a single match.
Conte was suspended by the Italian football federation for failing to report his knowledge of match-fixing but returned to his post in December.
Juventus are in pole position to retain their Serie A title having opened a five point lead at the top of the table.
Sir Alex Ferguson would appear to be edging towards the end of his managerial career with the 71 year old having been in post at Man United since 1986.
Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is also said to be on Man United’s wish-list, the 41 year old currently being on a sabbatical since last summer.
