Loftus Road side keen on Hawthorns forward.
Sky Sports claim that QPR have made an approach to sign West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie.
Harry Redknapp is hoping to beef up his attack this month as he looks to pull QPR clear of the relegation zone and believes that 31 year old Nigerian international Odemwingie is the man for the job.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow forward has made 17 appearances for the Baggies so far this season, scoring four times, and has also attracted interest from Newcastle United.
Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora are both out injured which has left the West London side relying heavily on Djibril Cisse up front and Redknapp is keen to bring in Odemwingie to offer his Loftus Road side a fresh attacking option.
Odemwingie has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for West Brom but has had to share striking duties this season with Shane Long, Marc-Antoine Fortune and the loaned in Chelsea man Romelu Lukaku.
QPR have only managed 17 goals in 21 Premier League matches this season and sit bottom of the table, some five points adrift of safety.
