Stamford Bridge side plan Bernabeu raid.
Check in to Stoke City vs Chelsea
CHELSEA are ready for another crack at landing Luka Modric.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich will dangle £22million in front of Real Madrid in a bid to tempt the little Croatian back to England this summer.

It’s fair to say that things haven’t quite gone according to plan for Luka Modric at the Bernabeu. The Croatian was always going to have to fight for a spot in Jose Mourinho’s first team starting line-up but thus far the 27 year old has been fighting a losing battle to unseat Mesut Ozil as Real Madrid’s chief midfield creator.
Therefore the option to return to the Premier League next summer may well be one the former Tottenham man would consider, though to do so would in many ways be admitting defeat and come the end of the season Modric will be more able to judge the chances of a burgeoning future at the Spanish giants.
Modric has started less than half of Real Madrid’s fixtures this season and was voted as the worst signing of 2012 by Spanish daily Marca, swiftly followed by former Arsenal man Alex Song.
With Frank Lampard likely to leave in the summer Modric could be considered a fairly ideal replacement for the Blues vetreran and given that Chelsea missed out on Brazilian Taison, who opted for a Shakhtar Donetsk switch last night, Roman Abramovich may be ready to step-up his pursuit of the crafty Real Madrid man.
