Hamburg star wanted at White Hart Lane.
South Korean star Hueng-Min Son could be on his way to White Hart Lane to join Tottenham in a £8million deal from Hamburg this month, according to the Metro.
The 20-year-old Heung, who can play on the right side of midfield or as a central striker, is highly-rated and is already a full international for his country with 12 caps to his name.
He left South Korea as a 16-year-old to join the academy at Bundesliga side Hamburg and made his debut in 2010. He has since gone on to make 61 appearances for the club and scored 14 times – catching the eye of scouts in the Premier League in the process.
And Heung’s Hamburg team-mate Rafael van der Vaart has revealed to German newspaper Bild that his former club Tottenham are in the running to sign the South Korean, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2014, in an £8million deal.
“Spurs are always searching for the best young talent – that is why every year they are near the top,” Ven der Vaart said.
Tottenham have already made one raid on the Bundesliga this month when agreeing terms to sign midfielder Lewis Holtby from Schalke, although he will not complete the move until the summer.
