Newcastle United were understood to lead the chase for Aubameyang as they attempt to replace Demba Ba, but the striker revealed that contact has been made with Premier League champions Manchester City and also with city rivals United. Italian Serie A side Fiorentina are also monitoring his availability.
He said: “There have been contacts with the Manchester clubs. I’m being followed in Italy too, especially by Fiorentina, and another big club.”
