Atletico Madrid striker on way to Ligue 1?
Transfer target Radamel Falcao has put a dent in Chelsea’s hopes of landing him in the summer after telling the French media that he could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea have been on the trail of Atletico Madrid’s Colombian international striker, who has struck 17 times in 16 La Liga games this season, for the past 12 months with the expectation that he would be on his way to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

But Chelsea’s prospects of signing the prolific goalscorer have received a huge knock-back with Falcao praising PSG in an interview with Telefoot and admitting that he could be on his way to the French capital at the end of the season.
“France is a marvellous country,” he said. “I’ve been there before, and I love it. PSG have a very ambitious sporting project and they’ve invested a huge amount of money to construct a competitive team. That will need time, but that could come very quickly. It’s not impossible that I could be meeting you [the French media] very soon.”
Speaking about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, his potential strike partner, Falcao added: “I’ve followed Zlatan’s path. He’s had an incredible career and he has succeeded in every league in which he has played. He is fantastic. He has scored a lot of goals. I like being able to compete with this kind of player. But me main objective is to excel and be even better every day.”
Falcao has been one of the stars of La Liga this season, helping Atletico Madrid to second place – above city rivals Real in the table.
