Wenger has been linked with players from across Europe during the January transfer window, including big name players David Villa from Barcelona and Napoli’s Edinson Cavani, but is still sticking to his policy of signing the best young talents.

And the Emirates Stadium manager confessed he is interested in signing England international Zaha and expects to rival Manchester United for the signature of the highly-rated 20-year-old, who has taken the Championship by storm this season.
“We are looking at him, but at the moment we have not made any bid for him,” Wenger said. “I don’t know if Manchester United are in for him as well but anyway if you call any club for any player they will tell you Man United, Milan and Real Madrid are all well in for him.”
Manchester United were understood to have been close to signing Zaha for £15million with the winger himself tweeting that he was on his way to the Premier League. But that transfer has yet to come to fruition and Arsenal remain in the frame. United’s move is believed to have included loaning back Zaha to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.
