Stamford Bridge transfer moves a step closer.
Chelsea have made a breakthrough in their bid to sign Malaga midfielder Isco after being granted first refusal on signing him in the summer.
The Stamford Bridge club have been tracking the talented 20-year-old for some time and had been hopeful of beating off stiff competition and adding him to their squad during the January transfer window

But, after allowing the loan of Lucas Piazon to Malaga for the remainder of the season on Wednesday, Chelsea have reached an agreement to buy the midfielder in the summer and beat Real Madrid to his signature, the London Evening Standard report.
Real Madrid are understood to have had a £15million bid for Isco turned down, and Malaga have not put Cheslea is pole position following the agreement in principle to deal with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy over a deal.
Chelsea sea Isco, who has been called into the Spain squad although is yet to make his debut at international level, as a long-term replacement for Frank Lampard, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract has expired. They are also tracking Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who will cost £22million to release him from his contract.
