French midfielder not on his way to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have not declared their interest in transfer target Yoann Gourcuff, according to Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.
French international midfielder Gourcuff is reported to be on Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s potential wanted list in the transfer window as he attempts to add quality to his squad to try to secure a top-four Premier League place and a Champions League berth.

But despite the claims that Wenger was ready to give Gourcuff a route out of Lyon, where he has had injury problems since signing for the Ligue 1 club in 2010, appear to be wide of the mark with Aulas unaware of any interest.
The midfielder has struggled at the Ligue 1 side since his arrival in 2010, with injuries hampering his playing time, and reports that suggested that Arsene Wenger would offer him a fresh start.
“Arsenal and Gourcuff? I don’t know about any offers,” Aulas is quoted as telling BeIn Sport. “I have never spoken with Arsenal.”
Gourcuff started his career with Rennes before moving to AC Milan in a £4million deal. He failed to settle in Italy and returned to France to join Bordeaux, where he spent two seasons prior to becoming a Lyon player. He has been capped 29 times by France.
