Bernabeu side want to snap up Etihad Stadium man.
Check in to Manchester City vs Fulham
Real Madrid have earmarked a move for Man City midfielder Javi Garcia as the Bernabeu side look to freshen up their squad in the summer according to the Daily Express.
Man City vs Fulham tickets still available
Jose Mourinho is apparently happy to pass on loaned in midfielder Michael Essien and will listen to offers for summer signing Luka Modric.
This source believes interest in Spaniard Garcia stems from a belief that he is a better fit for the Spanish giants than those currently occupying his spot in the Real Madrid starting squad.
Roberto Mancini is sure to fight off interest from Real Madrid, not least because the 25 year old only moved to the Etihad Stadium six months ago and any January move is even less likely given that Yaya Toure is currently on African Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast.
Garcia may be interested in a move back to the club he represented from the age of nine until leaving the club for Benfica in 2009.
Man City spent £16m to bring the tough tackling midfielder to the Etihad Stadium but it would be fair to say he hasn’t exactly set the world alight with his performances for the Premier League title holders to date.
