Emirates Stadium boss clearly interested in tough tackling midfielder.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has fueled speculation of a possible move for West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame by offering the Hammers man glowing praise.

The former Wigan Athletic man has a £3.5m release clause and could be seen as the ideal signing to add some much needed steel to the Arsenal midfield and Wenger was happy to single out the 26 year old Senegal international during the press conference ahead of the Gunners match with West Ham on Wednesday.
The Frenchman said of Diame: “‘He has a great presence in the games, I have seen him have a big impact.”
Diame caught the eye with a match-changing and goalscoring performance from the bench in the Hammers’ 3-1 win over Chelsea last month and Wenger confirmed the player’s performance had impressed him.
“He was very dangerous against Chelsea. He can drive the midfield, yes,” Wenger told Arsenal.com.
Wenger has arguably not replaced Alex Song, who left for Barcelona last summer, and has had to use Spaniard Mikel Arteta in an unfamiliar holding role to help provide some protection to the club’s back four.
Diame may well jump at the chance of a move to the Emirates Stadium, not least as he would be eligible for the Champions League knockout stages.
