Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is not thinking about a move away from the Premier League champions despite being linked with a switch to Serie A with Inter Milan.

Dzeko was thought to be frustrated at a lack of starting opportunities at Manchester City this season, with rumours persisting that he wanted to return to the Bundesliga in Germany or try his hand in Italy.

But despite spending a chunk of the season on the substitute’s bench with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini preferring to pair Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez in attack, Dzeko is content to bide his time at the Etihad Stadium.

The Bosnian international striker has earned the tag of being a super sub with 11 goals in 29 appearances, but his connections have not been approach by Inter Milan over a switch to the San Siro.

“Are Inter Milan interested in him for next summer? I know nothing,” Irfan Redzepagic, a representative for Dzeko, told tuttomercatoweb.com. “Inter have never contacted me and I think the answer would be obvious.

“Edin is happy at Manchester City and he’s not going to move from there, neither in January nor in summer. He still has two-and-a half years on his contract and there is no reason to talk about the future. And then I repeat: neither Inter nor any other club have called me.”
