Danish centre-back to make Craven Cottage move.

Check in to Aston Villa vs Newcastle United

Fulham are to beat off competition from Chelsea and Manchester United to secure the signing of Danish international defender Jores Okore.

Up to eight Premier League clubs have been interested in, or enquired about, 20-year-old Okore but it appears that manager Martin Jol has trumped his rivals and captured the giant Nordsjaelland centre-back, according to the Sunday People.

Okore caught the eye in Nordsjaelland’s Champions League captain, including when facing Chelsea, and has been watched by Fulham’s scouts in the Danish Super League.

The pull of guaranteed first-team football at Fulham, who look likely to lose Brede Hangeland on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, is what it is reported result in Okore’s decision to join the Craven Cottage club.

Fulham are also reported to be on the trail of Brest striker Jonathan Ayite, who is currently representing Togo at the African Nations Cup. The 27-year-old has played his entire career in France.
