Valdes has publicly stated his intention to leave Barcelona when his current contract comes to an end in 18 months time, this had left the Catalan club scrambling for worthy successors to their long term number one.
Vorm has been in excellent form since his move to Swansea City from the Eredivisie in the summer of 2011 and the South Wales side may struggle to keep hold of the 29 year old Dutch international.
Though Michael Laudrup’s side have performed well this season, sticking in or around the top half of the table and securing a Capital One Cup Final berth, they have lost a number of their top talents over the past 18 months with the likes of Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen leaving for Man City and Liverpool respectively.
Striker Danny Graham has also put in a transfer request as he looks to push for a move to Sunderland.
