Chrisopher Samba: Anzhi to QPR
Former Blackburn Rovers centre-back is apparently ready to quit Russia after a shaky spell at Anzhi that has included a fair bit of racist abuse.
QPR vs Man United tickets still available
Harry Redknapp needs defensive reinforcements, not least now that Ryan Nelsen has left for Toronto FC. Samba is a no-nonsense option to call upon and though his wage packet may be hefty he could just be the man to help steady the ship at the back to keep QPR clear of the drop.
During his five years at Blackburn Rovers Samba was a man mountain at the back and Redknapp will hope for something similar over the next few months if he is to sign the Congo international.
Guus Hiddink has already stated that is unhappy to see Samba in talks with QPR, a deal is sure to be on the cards.
Chances of deal going through: 9/10
