Manchester City To Offload Eleven Players In Massive Summer Clear-Out

Big name stars set to be shown the door at the Etihad Stadium.

Carlos Tevez will be one of 11 players leaving Manchester City in a summer clear-out, according to The Sunday Mirror.

Manager Roberto Mancini is ready to wield the axe at the end of the season and clear the decks ahead of a summer of rebuilding at Manchester City, with Tevez the biggest name casualty following his decision to want to run his contract down.

Tevez is set to be sold along with fellow big names Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri and Joleon Lescott while squad players Scott Sinclair, Aleksandar Kolarov and Maicon will also be made available for transfer in a cost-cutting exercise.

Wayne Bridge, who is on loan at Championship side Brighton, and Roque Santa Cruz, who is spending the season with La Liga side Malaga, will both walk away from Manchester City at the end of their contracts.

And defender Kolo Toure, currently on international duty at the African Nations Cup with the Ivory Coast, and back-up goalkeeper Richard Wright will also not be offered new deals when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Mancini is already building a list of summer targets in conjunction with chief executive Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain with Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao two strikers he is interested in.
