The Serie A side have joined Arsenal in the race to sign the young Verona winger as they look to continue their push to move towards a more youthful squad.
Arsene Wenger is apparently an admirer of the 21 year old who is currently into his second season at the Serie B side who is a pivotal part of the club’s push for promotion to the top tier.
The Arsenal boss may feel that due to the move to bring Theo Walcott into a more central striking role, that he has reveled in, that there could be room for the addition of a wide attacker. That said the North London club have a host of up and coming talents who could well jump at the chance of the possibility to impress in the first team picture.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t been afforded all that much first team action this term and has on occasion been used in a central role that perhaps doesn’t suit the England man. There is also Japanese international Ryo Miyaichi, who is currently on loan at Wigan Athletic, who could be due for Arsenal action.
Verona currently sit in third spot in Serie B.
