Emirates Stadium side linked with move to capture tough tackler.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move to re-sign French midfielder Lassana Diarra according to Fanatix.
fanatix tickets – Barclays Premier League tickets are still available for next weekend’s games.
Sunderland vs Arsenal tickets are on sale from £23 for this Saturday’s match at the Stadium of Light.
The 27 year old midfield dynamo was arguably a player Arsene Wenger sold too rashly, opting to sell the former Chelsea man to Portsmouth after barely six months at the North London club.
Diarra went on to impress at Pompey before securing a £17m move to the Bernabeu after just a year at Fratton Park.
The defensive midfielder could well be the right man to add steel to the Arsenal midfield but would only do so if Arsene Wenger would be willing to lure the pint sized ‘enforcer’ back to the Emirates Stadium.
Lassana Diarra is currently at big spending Russian side Anzhi but could perhaps be open to a return to the Premier League.
Diarra made just 13 appearances for Arsenal in his previous spell, during which the Gunners lost just one match, and perhaps the Paris born midfielder feels there is unfinished business that could lure him back to the club.
Arsenal lack an out and out defensive midfielder and Abou Diaby seems unable to keep himself clear of injuries of average form for more than a game or two at a time.
Emmanuel Frimpong has been loaned out again so is perhaps not maturing as Wenger would have wished and the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona has led to Spaniard Mikel Arteta taking up a holding role that greatly compromises his creativity, therefore a move to sign Diarra may be a sound one to consider.
