Serie A side keen on Stamford Bridge flop.
Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly keen on Fernando Torres according to the Express.
fanatix tickets – Barclays Premier League tickets are still available for next weekend’s games.
Chelsea vs Wigan tickets are on sale from £20 for this Saturday’s match at Stamford Bridge.
The 28 year old Spaniard hasn’t come close to justifying his £50m British transfer record fee and there seems a decent chance that a good offer will be considered by the West London club, especially if Roman Abramovich has his sights set on an new ‘marquee’ signing.
In many ways a move away from Stamford Bridge will suits all parties and will end both sides of the nightmare. I.e. Torres gets to try and re-ignite his career and Chelsea get to recoup at least some of the funds spent on the former Liverpool man.
At times under interim boss Rafa Benitez it did look as though Torres was beginning to gel with his team-mates but the striker has now gone eight Premier League games without a goal and his days at the club could be numbered.
With La Viola bringing in Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal there is perhaps a chance such a move would usher Stevan Jovetic to the exit, but one does wonder just how much the Serie A side would be willing to offer for Torres.
Chelsea would presumably demand at least half the fee they paid to Liverpool in January 2011.
Torres has managed 27 goals in 107 games for Chelsea.
