Peter Odemwingie has been involved in a training ground bust-up with West Brom team-mate Steven Reid as the fallout to his failed move to Queens Park Rangers continues to unfold.

Odemwingie handed in a transfer request at The Hawthorns towards the end of the January transfer window to try to engineer a move to the Premier League’s bottom side, who had a £2million offer turned down by West Brom.

His request was rejected and Odemwingie descended into a twitter rant about his future at West Brom.

With negotiations still ongoing between the two clubs, Odemwingie appeared at QPR’s training ground in London late on deadline day and was interviewed live on television despite not having permission to talk to Harry Redknapp’s side.

The move failed and Odemwingie was forced to return to West Brom with his tail between his legs, and the 31-year-old Nigerian international has since been fined £80,000 – two weeks wages.

But the problem continues to unfold at The Hawthorns with team-mate defender Reid now being involved in a bust-up with Odemwingie on the training ground.

“If there has been a row between Steven and Peter then I am sure it was an honest row,” West Brom manager Steve Clarke is quoted as saying by The Mirror. “It was about something that was said. “My biggest grievance is somebody in this building is letting stories out to the press. That is more upsetting for me than the fact Steven and Peter had an exchange of words.”
