Anfield side keen on Nigerian international.
Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Nigerian international Emamnuel Emenike according to Italian source CalcioMercato.
fanatix tickets- Aston Villa vs Liverpool tickets are on sale from £30 for the match on March 31st at Villa Park.
The 25 year old Spartak Moscow man finished the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament with four goals, making him the joint top scorer, helping his side to clinch the title in South Africa and generating a great deal of interest from prospective suitors.
Emenike has had something of a controversial career to date, having been charged with match-fixing by the Turkish authorities. This related to an allegation that whilst at Karabukspor he feigned an injury to avoid selection, which led to his side losing to Fenerbahce, a side he then signed for but never played a game with the Istanbul side.
A move to Russia was hastily arranged and Emenike has thrived at the Luzhniki Stadium, netting 13 goals in his first season and another seven this term before he left for international duty.
Brendan Rodgers may well feel his side could do with further striking additions, especially with Italian Fabio Borini failing to make an impact at Liverpool in a troubling first season at the Merseyside club that has been mired by injury and average form.
With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez already gelling nicely there is certainly scope for a quality back-up option and Emenike may well be the man for the job.
