Goodison Park star may be heading to Old Trafford.
Everton full-back Leighton Baines will demand to leave Goodison Park if his Toffees side fail to qualify for the Champions League according to Goal.com.
fanatix tickets- Sunderland vs Manchester United tickets are on sale from £27 for the match on March 30th at the Stadium of Light.
The Merseyside club will then demand at least £20m for the England international who is strongly linked with a move to Man United in the summer.
The 28 year old left-back may be seen as an ideal replacement for Patrice Evra who is pushing towards the latter end of his career.
Baines is tied to an Everton contract until 2015 and David Moyes would be loathed to lose arguably one of the club’s most pivotal performers. The former Wigan Athletic man is comfortable at the back and a real powerhouse going forward and is the club’s leading set piece specialist.
Leighton Baines has been a loyal Everton servant for the past six seasons but may feel that his ambitions can not be fulfilled at the club and given that he is pushing Chelsea star Ashley Cole for the England left-back slot he may feel that a high profile move could help with his push for a more prominent role in Roy Hodgson’s national team set-up.
Baines has made 231 appearances for Everton since his £6m move to the club in the summer of 2007.
